THERAPY FOR ANXIETY IN PASADENA
Slow down and find peace again.
You’re done letting anxiety run your life, instead of you...
When we think of anxiety, we often think of things like panic attacks, fear of public speaking, social anxiety, health anxiety, or obsessive thoughts, worry, and rumination. But oftentimes it also looks just as much like avoidance, procrastination, bottling things up, or shutting down.
Anxiety shows up at work, in relationships, and in the middle of sex, Monday morning, during your time of month, and often directly alongside co-existing issues like depression.
For better or worse, anxiety is a fact of life and of being human. But without proper management, it can also end up running your life.
You’re tired of feeling caught in this cycle:
Arcu non odio euismod lacinia at quis
Aliquam ut porttitor leo a diam sollicitudin tempor id eu
Consequat ac felis donec et odio pellentesque

Common questions about therapy for anxiety
-
At this time our team does not have a specialty in OCD treatment. If you have OCD, we highly recommend making sure you have worked with a specialist who can provide you the best education about OCD or Pure O OCD, and is able to provide ERP (the current “gold standard” for OCD), CBT or ACT, to get your symptoms in check.
We are always happy to work with clients with OCD in a way that complements and augments previous or concurrent work with a specialist or support group, as well as around additional therapeutic issues you may want to explore.

Many clients find the right medication can be a great support when it comes to managing their anxiety. While we can’t make recommendations or prescribe medication, we are always happy to work collaboratively with or refer you to a doctor who is able to provide the appropriate recommendations, as well as help you work through some of the pros and cons to incorporating medication and other adjunctive services (such as yoga or acupuncture) into your larger treatment plan.

The inclusion of homework and assignments between sessions may depend on the individual approach of your therapist, as well as your own personal preferences. However, it may be helpful to know that homework between sessions can be particularly helpful when it comes to working with anxiety. Whether you love or hate the idea of homework as part of your therapy, please feel empowered to discuss it directly with your therapist to ensure you are able to create a plan that works best for you!
